Room correction, measured

Your room does two things to the sound. Only one is reliably correctable with EQ.

RoomPhase reads your measurements and separates problems that EQ may help from problems caused by timing, reflections or placement. Then it shows you how it reached that conclusion.

RoomPhase runs locally. Measurement files are not uploaded or interpreted by a language model.

Diagnosis before EQ

One curve. Two problems.

Two measurements can look similar on a frequency response graph but need completely different fixes.

One may respond well to EQ. The other may need a change to timing, placement or the room itself.

RoomPhase helps you work out which is which. Drag the control below in the interactive version to change the strength of the delayed arrival.

Measurements in. Working out.

Import from Room EQ Wizard (REW) or capture measurements directly. RoomPhase keeps every record, where it came from and what changed between one result and the next.

Technical method

Read it before you trust it.

RoomPhase keeps its estimate, its measurement and its real-world check separate. It shows the evidence behind a result, the conditions that make it comparable and the limits that prevent a stronger claim.

How RoomPhase separates the sound response

The analysis separates the measured response into timing explained by the frequency response and additional delayed timing that may need a physical change.

When a comparison can be trusted

RoomPhase compares results only when measurements were taken in a fair, repeatable way. If several things changed at once, it shows the difference but does not guess which change caused it.
